Usefulness of Wind Energy

Wind energy is energy generated from the wind. The wind turbines allow for the harnessing of wind, and further conversion into energy for general usage. Wind energy is a type of renewable energy, and more specifically it is a type of green renewable energy. When the wind blows, it spins in a clockwise direction to be able to produce energy efficiently.

One of the fastest-growing green renewable energy globally is wind, and it has become so attractive that it's been used at homes, farms, towns, etc. In many regions, there exist offshore giant wind turbines built to harness massive wind energy available. One major advantage of using wind energy is its availability. There is nowhere you will go on the planet where there is no wind, although there may be variations in wind strength. It is limitless in nature and readily available.

The cost-effectiveness of wind energy is next to non, spending a fair sum you can generate your own electricity and need not worry about paying extra bills.

Wind energy is green and renewable

When generating electricity with wind, you tap into a sustainable source of energy. There is no emission of harmful gases like CO & CO2. More wind turbines mean global reduction in emission of harmful gases can be achieved more easily.

Globally, we can leverage on wind energy as we harness the power of the wind and increase sustainable power gemeration. However, there are some issues that has limited the far widespread of wind energy and they are:

• Wind farms are usually found at the outskirts of towns, and this poses electrical transmission issues.

• Competition with other sources of energy.

• Cost of mounting/maintaining batteries to store up energy generated.

• Variation of wind in different regions.
